Area 51 has upgraded it's Webmail service! The new Webmail system will provide many more features, based on comments we have received from customers requesting features that were not available in our previous webmail solution.

Webmail can be very useful for those who need to access their mail when they are away from their computer, traveling, working from home, or just prefer to use their Web browser rather than their e-mail program (i.e. Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora) to check their mail. You can use this service as a supplement to your regular e-mail program, or as your main method of checking e-mail.

We hope that you will find that the new system runs much faster than the old one, is easier to use, and has more useful features. Features that will be available include:

Spellchecking
Calendar
Font formatting when composing a message
Folder management for saving messages, including
      Sent Items, Drafts and a Trash folder
Improved display of HTML messages.

Extensive attachment capabilities - sending and
      receiving, as well as storing the attached file on
      your PC or on the e-mail server

You can access your Webmail using Internet Explorer or Netscape. Go to http://mail.yourdomain.com, where "yourdomain.com" is your specific domain name (for example, http://mail.ar51.net). Enter your username (the beginning of your e-mail address, i.e. username@domain.com) and your password. Keep in mind that these entries are case-sensitive, and should usually be typed in all lowercase. Feel free to browse and test all the options of the new system, and to customize your User Preferences.
