Solutions Firm to House Electronics Giant's Web Sites
Akron,
OH, October 1, 2003 Area 51 Consulting, Inc., a locally owned Ohio-based
company delivering quality voice, network, and Internet solutions to businesses,
today announced it has signed a deal with leading multinational electronics manufacturer
Lambda Electronics, Inc. to house and maintain all its Web sites.
"Lambda
needed a provider that could accommodate its large databases and keep its Web
sites up and running continuously," said Area 51 President and CEO John Reinmann.
"We'll also be handling data backup, with servers housed in our hardened facility."
Area 51's hardened facility, with walls two-feet-thick,
provides redundant power backups, from batteries to diesel generators, which stood
clients in good stead during the August power outage that affected millions in
the US and Canada. "If a tornado blew through downtown Akron, I'd want to be in
that building because it's so strong and secure," said Reinmann.
E-commerce
solutions provider Kore Technologies, based in California, helped Area 51 move
Lambda's Web sites to the Akron-based servers. "Kore has technologies we're particularly
interested in," Reinmann said. "There may be some synergy with Kore beyond the
Lambda project."
Lambda Electronics, Inc. is recognized
